Founded by Taniya Francis, raised in Sri Lanka and now based in the US, ELARA connects the legendary Island of Gems to modern collectors and jewelry lovers seeking something rare, meaningful, and authentic.

ABOUT ELARA SAPPHIRES
An Elara unheated sapphire is rare because its beauty is entirely natural. Its color has not been enhanced, intensified, or altered by heat treatment. What you see is the color formed by the earth over millions of years.
Most sapphires available today are heat-treated to improve their color and uniformity. While this is common and accepted in fine jewelry, an unheated sapphire with exceptional color is far more uncommon. Each stone carries its own natural character, making no two pieces exactly alike.
At Elara, we choose these stones for their individuality, integrity, and lasting value. Many are sourced from Sri Lanka, a region known for luminous sapphires with remarkable natural vibrancy. These are not simply stones selected for beauty; they are stones selected for origin, rarity, and meaning.
